Paleo

So we started a weight loss challenge at the gym a week or so ago. I am on the paleo diet, which consists of mainly meat and veggies. So far so good. I lost 8lbs the first week. The challenge is for 8 weeks. The first week was very hard to try to keep with the diet. Now it's not so bad. I've realized how bad I was eating and how it was making me feel. Even though I'm not eating nearly as much I seem to have more energy and just feel better in general. The bigger challenge for me now is to keep some type of variety in my diet. I don't mind eating broccoli and meat everyday. It was be nice to mix it up a bit. I dunno. We'll see how it goes.

Been a bit

It's been awhile since my last post. I was getting into the habit of post g my daily workouts but since I suck at habits that didn't last very long. So I guess I'll post when I think about it or when big things happen.
Last night at crossfit I did my first WOD of push-ups without using the scaling bar. Mind you it was only 5 at a time but I'm pretty happy about it. In a few days we're gonna start the next fitness/health challenge, the paleo zone diet. I am looking forward to this as I have out some weight on thanks to the holidays and my own weakness for all things food. Anyway, I'll be around.

Bench press

Today's WOD featured at max bench press. Other than at the gym years ago I haven't really done this. My first time PR was 225. I'm happy with that.

Tabata you bastard

Tonight's WOD was tabata intervals. We did pull ups, push ups, sit ups and squats. 7 rounds 20 seconds on 10 second rest. Easily the toughest WOD yet. You tally the total number of reps. I had some trouble with the pull ups, I use a thick black band to aide and it wasn't working out. So my total reps for the whole WOD was only 151. I really hope to do better next time.
