On August 1st I started a journey. A journey to become who I'm supposed to be. My utimate goal is to participate in The Spartan Death Race. Along the way I hope to become healthy, strong, and someone my boys can look up to.

Hop-Scotch
Yesterday was a rest day. On rest days we are encouraged to try something that we haven't done in a while. When I got home from work yesterday, my wife and boys were in the parking lot next to our house. They were using chalk to draw out a hop-scotch game. When they were finished they combined all of the boards to make a huge board. It had more than 50 steps. I spent the next hour or so playing with the boy and Carla. I am amazed at how much it worked my legs. I would go through on my left, then my right, then using both legs. Trey and I had a competition to see who could go through it the most times. He won. All and all it was a great time. Not only because I was able to get some cardio in but also I was able to do it while hanging out with my family. It was a good day.

The boys always win! It's the competition (and staying with it) that matters. Keep going! :)
